Following the departure of Nigel Winter, the new CEO of The Vegan Society is Jasmijn  De Boo.

Originally from The Netherlands, Jasmijn has been living and working in the UK for several years.  She has worked for The Brooke (an equine welfare charity) and has also worked for the WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals).  In 2006, she founded the UK political party, Animals Count, of which she was the leader until 2010.

Jasmijn takes up the post on Monday 5 September 2011.
