Birthday Food

First things first, a birthday cake of course! You can mail order fabulous birthday cakes from the likes of Blue Lotus, The Vegan Cake Girl and Babycakes Direct. Your local healthfood shop or vegan friendly café may make cakes to order or at least know someone who does and with the rise of ‘free from’ products an increasing number of bakeries will bake cakes to order that are free of animal products. Finger foods

Redwood’s ready to eat sausages are perfect no-fuss finger foods, or try Fry's burgers, sausages, hot dogs, polony or nuggets. For sandwiches there’s Redwoods’ pate or their Cheatin' slices in ham, chicken and turkey. For those who love the taste of cheese Redwood’s and Sheese produce ranges of soft, hard and melting cheeses.  Redwood’s super melting cheese is perfect for pizza slices which you can top off with their Cheatin’ pepperoni slices.

Party bits and bobs

No party would be complete without ice cream and there are many vegan options. Choose from Swedish Glace’s smooth vanilla, wild blueberry, juicy raspberry or rich chocolate ice creams. Swedish Glace is increasingly stocked in supermarkets or get down to your nearest health food shop. Other vegan ice creams include Tofutti, Booja Booja and the B’Nice Rice Cream ranges, try your health food shop for these or mail order them from Goodness Direct.

For extra nibbles grab some Humdingers chocolate buttons and whizzers chocolate sweets which are increasingly stocked in ‘free from’ sections in supermarkets. Veganstore has lollipops, candies, jellies, fudge, delicious little chocolate-coated peanut cups and even vegan marshmallows! So there's plenty to choose from for the perfect kids' party.
